The gang die is intended to blank out large quantities of parts
from their connected sheet of flash. This type of tooling is particularly
useful in trimming parts that are otherwise difficult ot remove
from a mold pin or where a large number of closely trimmed parts
are required. In referring to this type of tooling a description
of 2 rows of 20 O.D. or 5 rows of 10 O.D. is used. The rows refers
to the entire length of the sheet and the 20 is how many parts
are in this row. Therefore in the first case 40 parts are to be
punched out at a time and in the second instance 50 parts at a
time.
